Whether it is our state of the art stereo infra-red system with adjustable sound headphone or attention to accessibility and positioning of seats for our clients in wheelchairs. Adjustable Sound Head Phones With Infra-red Technology

If you sometimes find it hard to hear our movies, we offer an advanced Infrared Head Phone system for your use. Simply talk to one of our friendly staff at the Candy Bar who will be happy to provide you with headphones.

Our system is easy to use. Simply put the headphones on when the movie presentation begins and you will instantly be connected to our Infra Read Sound System. You can then adjust the volume to make it louder or quieter to suit your needs.

Headphones need to be returned after your movie presentation so please remember to bring an item of identification with you so that we can contact you should you forget. A Drivers License or Eftpos card is sufficient.

Accessibility For Wheelchairs

Bay City Cinemas Tauranga has easy and convenient wheelchair access throughout Cinemas 1 through to 5. Cinemas 6, 7 & 8 are generally accessed via stairs, however there is a lift which caters for Cinema 6 (lifting capacity of up to 200 KG). Cinemas 7 & 8 have convenient access from the side road exit on Grey Street. Once in the cinema, we have designated seating positions for our customers in wheelchairs and their family or friends. Please feel free to call prior should you wish to discuss this further or ask our approachable staff for assistance at anytime during your visit.

Bay City Cinemas Mount Maunganui Cinemas are accessible via a lift located conveniently on the ground level foyer (lifting capacity of up to 700 KG). This lift allows access to all levels where each cinema is only a few meters away. Once in the cinema, we have designated positions for our customers in wheelchairs and their family or friends. Please talk to our friendly staff should you require assistance at any stage.
